MultiRes application software development kits are available for both Unix and Windows clients. The high-level SDK API (application program interface) returns an interpreted and formatted screen to the user application, while the low-level API provides the raw data stream to the user application for greater program control. The Windows low-level API is implemented as both 16- and 32-bit DLLs which support multiple instances controllable by a single program. In addition, a JAVA class version of the API is available for clients written in JAVA.
